Mix and misMatch Part 2: Furniture

Hello lovelies, it’s time for another weekly dose of vintage inspiration, shall we say, ‘Vinspiration?’ This week we’re following on with the mismatched theme and taking a look at mixing up the furniture.

Perhaps your chosen venue is a blank canvas and requires you to source your own furniture? or maybe the chair covers on offer aren’t floating your boat. Here are a few alternatives to really get you thinking.

Sitting Pretty

Starting with the chairs is a great way to mismatch your furniture. Of course you could source your own collection from charity shops and car boots but chances are you may need a larger quantity. Why not hire a selection of mismatched chairs for your ceremony and reception? A guaranteed talking point and oh so pretty!

Why stop at the seating? Do away with the table cloths and mix wooden trestle tables for a fabulous tea party atmosphere.

Chill Out

After all that dancing you might want to ‘sit soft’ Why not create a lounge area in your venue where you and your guests can enjoy a little rest and sip those cocktails in comfort?
