I’m Karen – owner, director, planner, PR manager, caterer, marketing officer, tea maker, washing up expert, a whizz with bubble wrap & Pinterest & the person behind Darby & Joan. I was beyond proud to be the National Wedding Award Winner 2014 for Best Venue Stylist. My work & weddings have been featured on the top wedding blogs & I love what I do.
I guess this would mean that you are in safe hands…
Planning your wedding is a big deal – I know that. By finding Darby & Joan I hope that you have found a company who understands your ideas & your aspirations.
With my experience & love of what I do, together with my team, we can transform a village hall, a marquee, a barn or any space into a beautifully decorated backdrop for your wedding day.
A typical Darby & Joan wedding which is based on 50 guests starts from as little as £1,600. This includes all of your vintage china hire, our classic afternoon tea menu, dressing your venue & tables & a staff of four for nine hours.
We offer event styling & full venue set up, catering, waitressing staff, prop hire & on the day support.
We want to help to make your wedding planning & preparation process as stress free as possible & to work with you to ensure that your wedding day is as beautiful as you imagined it to be.
We hope you enjoy reading our blog & looking through our galleries to see the work we have done. Please get in touch if you would like to work with us, we would love to hear from you.
We don’t offer a “package” as I want you to have the freedom to choose from our services. We prefer to work with you to create a proposal that best suits your style, budget & aspirations.
“Thank you so much for everything you did to make our wedding a day to remember. We loved the way the hall looked & you were a huge part of that. You were also amazing on the day & everyone commented on how smooth & efficient everything was, Thanks again”
”From start to finish, Karen absolutely ‘got us’ and our wedding concept. The way that she brought our ideas and hopes for our wedding day to life with her creative vision and execution was second to none and I just couldn’t imagine how it would have been not to have Darby & Joan on board. Also, Karen’s studio is To. Die For.”
